| The site has been designed and created for Ramsey Mereside not a professional business, in the near future we may find ourselves upgrading the site to a more professional design. For the average user, I have tried to make it as simple as possible, navigation on the left and top with content loading to the right. No matter where you navigate to in the site, the navigation bar will always remain in the same place. The site also incorporates new technologies such as DHTML (Dynamic Hyper Text Markup Language) and CSS (Cascading Style Sheets) Level 2, also imbedded within the site is Javascript, this allows the user to program various assets onto the site which cannot be completed with standard DHTML scripting. Further information pertaining to the technologies used can be found on http://www.w3.org The overall size of the site at this time is only 3.25mb this includes the 107 images which are present, the largest page should only take about 7 seconds to download on a 56k modem, if you are experiencing download problems please contact us. | The site has been hosted by a company called ukhosts4u,http://www.ukhost4u.com/domain.html there are various companies to choose from each offering different prices and features. The ramseymereside.co.uk domain name will cost £9.99 per year and £39.99 per year, this includes all the features such as scripting, email addresses and bandwidth. Built into the cost is a service level agreement of £4.99, this means that if problems exist with the servers, the site has to be up and running within 24 hours otherwise a full refund is given. If in the near future we wish to upgrade the site the approximate cost will be £49.99 per year with £9.99 per year for the Domain name. |
